2025 Love Awards Ceremony

Friday, May 2nd, 2025   | 8:30am

That was the morning to remember!

The gym at Jefferson Intermediate School was filled with students waiting in anticipation for the ceremony to begin. Four St. Charles Optimists were among the guests, including Mike Ebert, who was on stage to greet awardees in person.

The MC announced ten deserving students and one teacher who appeared on the lit-up stage one at a time. Each of them received a Love Award trophy and was greeted by Dan Borgmeyer, the Mayor of St. Charles, as well as representatives from different community organizations. Every student was photographed, and the group picture was taken at the end of the ceremony.

Last year’s Love Awards recipients, who cheered on new awardees, were also called on stage. They were given Hi-5 before leaving the stage.

All 2025 Love Award recipients were invited to take a ride in a reserved trolley, followed by a small reception in their honor.

Past year’s “Love Awards” recipients given Hi-5

During the past seven years, the Optimist Club of St. Charles has been one of the “Love Awards” major supporters.

We are proud of each current and past year’s awardee and hope that someday they will become new compassionate leaders whose goal would be to grow the local community, making the Saint Charles area a better place to work and live.
