July Guest Speaker: Reach St. Charles
July 29th, 2025
We had the delight of meeting Lisa Davis and Stacey Enders from Reach St. Charles, a not-for-profit service volunteer organization. Their organization’s mission is to connect individuals in St. Charles County with resources to address residents’ special needs, such as food and holiday meal boxes, and distribute meals, supplies, and clothing to the homeless people.
Ms. Davis and Ms. Enders informed us about their four existing programs, such as
- Holiday (complete holiday meal boxes during December)
- Care (feminine products for schools)
- Education ($500 Scholarships for St. Charles County residents attending community college or trade school)
- Food (bi-monthly “Pop-Up” grocery giveaways throughout the community)
They also spoke about a partnership with Hardin Middle School to help prevent bullying and misconduct by introducing a “Good Behavior Program,” where children are bestowed incentives for demonstrating positive behavior in the form of vouchers, which can be exchanged later for a physical item from a special “Awards Store.” This approach helps to create a respectful and productive school environment. When this pilot program matures, our guest speakers would like to extend their partnership to other schools, including elementary schools, to promote a culture of positive behavior and empathy toward others who are different.

Lisa and Stacy were excited to share the good news about launching “The Harvest Nickel” program, a new community pantry, designed to provide meaningful food assistance by offering complete meal kits—the ingredients families need to prepare real, nourishing meals at home. These two caring ladies are in the process of getting a see-through-door fridge to make the job of ingredient selection for the meal kits easy.
We are proud to know these energetic and truly optimistic ladies who are helping to fight poverty by giving the economically disadvantaged St. Charles County residents hope that there will be a bright light at the end of the dark tunnel of uncertainty and despair.
