May Guest Speaker: Shelly Roy & Memory Cafe

It was a pleasure to meet Shelly Roy, the founder of the Bev Roy Hope Foundation. Shelly told us her story about what inspired her to establish the Memory Cafe, a unique meeting place for aging adults where they socialize through different hands-on activities, listen to interesting speakers and interact with each other.
In 2019 the Foundation was created to honor Shelly’s mother who lost her battle to Alzheimer’s disease in 2018. The foundation helps Shelly to look at things with optimism, reflecting her love for others and giving spirit to live on.
